drove all the way from Michigan to Amicalola falls to start the approach trail mut upon arriving late in the day I have decided to stay at the shelter at the very start of the approach trail. After arriving I decided to do one last gear check I knew my gear was going to be on the heavy side but I didn’t know how much after food and water my bag ended up being 50 lbs. With food and water so this first week is going to be tough but once I realize what I’m using and what I’m not I will send some stuff home and hopefully cut some weight down. Amicalola falls is pretty nice biggest waterfall in Georgia and can’t wait to see more of it tomorrow!
